Our basis for using your data

We use your data with your consent, or for purposes the law allows without consent, such as completing the order you asked for, meeting legal duties and preventing fraud. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before, and it may mean we cannot provide some services; for example, we cannot deliver an order without your address.

Cookies and advertising

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:

  • Essential cookies to keep your shopping bag, keep you logged in and keep the site secure and working.
  • Analytics cookies and tags from Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to see how visitors use our site.
  • Advertising cookies and tags from Meta Pixel to measure our ads and to show you our ads again after you leave our site (retargeting).

You can switch off cookies in your browser settings, but your shopping bag and login may stop working. You can also manage the ads you see in your Google and Meta account ad settings, and use your browser’s privacy controls to block tracking tags.

Who we share your data with

We share your data only with the people who help us run the store, and only what they need:

  • Razorpay processes your online payments. It is certified under PCI DSS Level 1, and your card details are handled by Razorpay, not by us.
  • Shiprocket and Shadowfax receive your name, address, phone number and order details to deliver your parcel.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) carries our WhatsApp messages to you through the WhatsApp Business app.
  • Hostinger hosts our website and its data.
  • Google and Meta receive usage data and identifiers through the analytics and advertising tools described above.
  • Authorities and advisers, such as tax authorities, courts or law enforcement where the law requires it, and professional advisers such as accountants.

We do not sell, rent or lease your personal data to anyone. If our business is ever sold or restructured, your data may move to the new owner, who must protect it in line with the law.

Where your data is stored

Our website is hosted by Hostinger, so your data is stored on Hostinger’s servers, which may be in India or in other countries. Google and Meta may process data in other countries, including the United States. We expect our providers to protect your data, and we follow the rules that apply to sending data outside India.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data only as long as we need it for the purposes above and to meet legal, tax and accounting duties, such as keeping order and invoice records. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete the data we are not required to keep.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with;
  • correct or complete data that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete data we no longer need;
  • stop using your data for promotions or advertising, by withdrawing your consent;
  • allow someone you nominate to exercise these rights for you if you die or cannot act for yourself.

To make a request, support team with the subject “Privacy request” and the email address or phone number on your account, so we can confirm it is you. We acknowledge your request within 48 hours and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Promotional emails

We send promotional emails about our bags. You can opt out at any time by emailing support team with the word “Unsubscribe”. Opting out does not stop order, delivery or support messages.

Reviews and uploads

Reviews and photos you post on our website are public, so please don’t include personal details you don’t want others to see. We may remove content that is unlawful, misleading or harmful.

Children

Our website and products are for adults aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you are buying a school bag for a child, please place the order yourself. If we learn that we hold data from someone under 18, we delete it.

Security

We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), store passwords in a form we cannot read, and leave card payments to Razorpay. No system is completely secure. If a data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
